Responsibilities
As a front desk receptionist, you are the first and last point of contact to our patients, you will ensure patients feel comfortable during their visit, multitasking between greeting patients and managing a variety of administrative assistant duties.
- Patient Service Representatives greets patients and visitors, communicates wait times and directs them accordingly.
- Explains all required forms to patients and ensures proper completion of all paperwork. Answers incoming telephone lines in accordance with company procedures and directs the caller accordingly.
- Files paperwork, medical records and correspondence according to defined company procedure.
- Maintains inventory of office supplies and printed forms.
- Follows HIPAA guidelines and safety rules
- Assists Center Administrator in managing daily front desk administrative functions.
- Monitor patient flow to ensure the clinic is operating efficiently including monitoring wait times and the Web Check-in process.
- Assist with management of daily clinic operations including ensuring the clinic is opened and closed appropriately and in a timely manner.
You Will Need:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- One year of experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated Intermediate knowledge of PCs, word processing, and data entry. Demonstrated excellent customer service and communication skills.
- 1+ year of experience in a medical office setting
- 1+ year of experience in the supervision of staff is helpful.
- Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
- Within 3 months of employment or promotion, must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification.

- Performs DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
- In addition to Medical Assistant duties, you will be cross trained to perform Front Office duties including greeting patients, obtaining authorization, check in/out, communication of wait times, etc.
- Ensure accurate completion of patient charts in a timely manner and forwarding charts as appropriate on a daily basis.
